The Nautical Edit Look Book : Behind The Scenes

You don’t have to own a boat to look like you own a boat, right?

This summer the seaside has been well and truly elevated with over 65+ items featured in our vintage nautical collection. You guessed it - rope belts, sailor dresses and pinstripes a plenty.

What Alice Found seasonal look books are SO much fun to shoot, a chance to showcase our stock and collaborate with a creative team really makes our vintage fashion and accessories come to life. I got to work with my good friend and talented photographer Dave Greensmith once more.

Our nautical tale began on a boat on the south coast, kindly loaned to our team by friends of the family. The weather did NOT disappoint. Blazing sun and blue skies were our backdrop, along with a very inquisitive (and very large) swan who kept peering in to see what these beautiful women were wearing next!

Think Goldie Hawn in Overboard (one of my all-time favourite films!) meets preppy 80’s Vogue cover meets 90’s Jean Paul Gaultier perfume advert, yah?

Orla created a gorgeous make up look of midnight blue smoky eyes and vibrant red lips, on dewy, summery skin. Loren and El looked every inch at home on the luxurious boat dressed in swimsuits, gowns and Versace – esque accessories.

Side note: One of our models @thatgirlloren is an amazing singer and we enjoyed listening to her tracks during the fitting, and highly recommend you checking her out immediately on spotify.

Ahoy! You can shop the Nautical edit and below is a quick glace at the collection.
