HAPPY NEW YEAR !

Why, hello 2023! Sorry for the radio silence over the holidays, it was busy, busy, busy over Christmas so a big THANK YOU to all our customers who chose to shop vintage from Black Friday in November right up to New Years Eve! It's truly heartwarming and we love every single one of you for it.

So, new year is here and with it comes a MEGA January sale (our biggest ever!) to give shoppers a bargain, make way for some new stock and new energy going into 2023.

Because I'm feeling all nostalgic, I'm writing this blog post to have a little look back at last year and reflect on what has been so we can manifest what might be for the future.

2022 AT A GLANCE

Last year we kicked off by celebrating the trend of Granny Chic with all things tapestry, chintz and mismatched prints.

Then valentines swept us off our feet with a short, dreamy fashion film and lots of vintage boudoir. Fluffy heels, nylon slips and sheer fabrics meant romance was seriously on the menu.

As Spring kicked in so did our retro homeware collection, with all sorts of kitsch dinner ware to decorate tables for Mother's Day and Easter. Pastel colours dominated our wardrobes too!

As summer crept up, we headed to the sea with a Nautical LookBook and lovely creative team to showcase our collection of boat inspired clothes and accessories. Think 80's glamour and French inspired beauty.

Late summer got HOT! The heatwave meant one thing - dressing like we were beachside every day with our themed Club Tropicana edit. Loud colours, Hawaiian florals, swimming costumes and floppy hats saved the (very hot) day.

Autumn arrived and we welcomed a preppy, tailored vibe with the 'Return to School' collection - think Miss Moneypenny (but she is no longer the secretary, she's the boss)

The darker side of vintage beckoned with Halloween, and our Hocus Pocus edit invoked witchy vibes with apothecary magic using antique bottles, brass trinkets for your alter and lots of 90's vampire vibes : satin shirts, waistcoats and long black maxi's.

As party season unfolded we enjoyed getting cosy in vintage knits and wool coats, then cosy turned to glam with sequins, sparkles and beading to twinkle in those fairy lights! Christmas gifts were wrapped under the tree and the classic Little Black Dress collection was launched in time for New Years.

We enjoyed three events last year and loved meeting our customers in person, all in Brighton, but sadly LouLou's vintage fairs are no longer returning to our city so we may well be travelling further afield!

Keep your eyes peeled for our 2023 themed collections, some styled Look Books and some gorgeous new additions to our online shop. If you don't want to miss out, or want to get access to exclusive discount codes sign up to our newsletter at the bottom of the page (no more than once a month, I promise) and be first in the know.

Let's hope this year brings laughter, love and happiness - and a bit of pre-loved style too!
