Here at What Alice Found we have part time internships available. We offer a three or six month placement at our vintage boutique.

The internship

We always need extra hands and we want to help you too – a placement here is flexible and fun! We can give you training in the following areas: Fashion retailing, visual merchandising, styling, website retail, PR and marketing.

If you are studying, or looking to gain experience in any of these areas for references or a portfolio, we want to hear from you! The internship is unpaid, but we will cover your lunches and travel expenses if you do events with us. We can give you references and portfolio examples from both the retail boutique and with our online boutique too, a wide spectrum for your cv.

Dependent on the applicants we meet – we may offer two people an internship each, and split the areas in to more defined roles such as 1) fashion retail and customer service  and 2) web, pr, marketing. Tell us what you interested in and we will do our best to accommodate!

Who we are looking for

A vintage fashion enthusiast, who is reliable and happy to try their hand at a variety of different tasks. Knowledge of vintage eras and designs is desirable. Marketing and pr gurus who want to oversee events and promotions for two brands under one roof. The placement will be 1 day a week , or split over two half days, and the odd weekend for events.

Example tasks

Designing and distributing flyers, modelling for our ASOS boutique, assisting on photo shoots, overseeing online orders and posting out, generating custom and marketing online, social media, html newsletters, creating window displays, assisting at events….. the list goes on!
