Come fly, let’s fly away

comeflywithme1

What Alice Found entered well and truly into the spirit of the Bournemouth Air Festival with an aviation inspired window display including sunglasses, military hats, pilot gloves, khaki clothing and plenty of British gusto!

Our Vintage take on the air show was recognised when we were invited to be interviewed live as ‘Feel Good Friday’s guests’  on the sea front for BBC Solent’s Katie Martin Show. So Nicki styled the lovely model Rachel head to toe in vintage aviation attire and talked to listeners about fashion, opening her shop and being part of the regeneration of  Boscombe.

You can hear the interview (It begins at 0.37 mins in) and you can see more pics on Katie Martin’s Facebook Page. (We should also tell you Rachel got chatted up by a Royal Marine in less than 32 seconds of arriving at the beach…..proving our vintage makes a vixen out of you ladies!!)

We also made an appearance at the Aviation themed event ‘Come Fly With Me’ at The Cumberland Hotel last week run by Juicy Events and Promotions, set in the stunning art deco hotel and featuring live music, burlesque performances and cocktails. Yum yum.

We had the pleasure of styling event organiser and hostess with the mostest Tash – seen here posing for Fishee Designs Photo Booth in some of our vintage attire, (hair and makeup by The Vintage Hair Lounge.)

We’d also like to express our sorrow regarding the tragic death of Red Arrows Pilot Flt Lt Jon Egging, following their display on Saturday. The sheer number of flowers laid in town as a tribute, and those signing the condolence books show how many people share this sympathy, and our thoughts are with his friends and family at this time.
